Guess I should chime in here (I am still recovering from the Midwest
Renewable Energy Fair in Wisconsin - had a great time there last
weekend).

I think Jay is correct on this - the setting on 60 cycles (1 second) is
way to long - especially for stacked sets. The problem is that in a
second of time the generator can not only spin down but it also even
jumps around a bit while shutting off. This results in the inverter and
the generator getting out of phase with each other - which is worse than
having a dead short circuit. With a short the inverter only pushes its
current into a resistor (even if the only resistance is the wire between
the inverter and the short circuit). With an out of phase AC generator
- it can actually "suck" the amps out of the inverter. I don't think its
an issue with the wiring or a faulty load - the inverter can handle this
without any issues.

I think the real issue may be with this time delay setting or may just
an unfortunate failure. Either way we will certainly get your customer
back up running as soon as possible - if its not happened already. Let
me know if I can help in any way.
