These units that Dave / AEE has also do not meet the current UL
standard's anti-islanding requirements - but they were built and marked
before this requirement came into effect and so should be considered
"grandfathered" in by your local utility. New units from NKF should not
be marked with the UL standard as the version of the UL standard which
they had certified to is no longer in effect.  

NKF has a much nicer new design which replaced this model and is rated
at 500 watts - but they have not decided to bring this unit into the US
due to the marketplace size, cost of UL listing and the falling value of
the dollar.
