Hi Randy,

There is a another unit call Atkenson ( sold by AEE if not others).

It will start 2 and 3 wire starts, including diesels.

One simple test for the problem stated is to start the genny manually, and
see if the inverter connects and charges.

If so you know the AC coming from the genny is OK.

If so check to see if the Trace is set to glowstop or run.  Some gennys
require one way, some the other.
