I have a plastic fresnel lens about 3'x2' for showing kids how powerful
solar energy is.  Focused into an aluminum pie pan it cuts crayons like
butter, and kids love to watch things catch fire, especially plastic cars
and figurines.  I have even blistered and shattered concrete with it.
Strange thing is, there's always one kid who tries to stick a hand into the
focal point, so constant supervision is very important.
