As most of you know by now, we use only conduit to connect Shell modules,
specifically 1/2" non-metallic flex. We install Arlington connectors which
are entirely plastic except for a metal lock nut. There does not appear to
be any question about compliance with these connectors.
We tighten the lock nuts with the Klein D333-8 lock nut/reaming
pliers. They work great, but the joints can get stiff and can be a bear to
loosen up. Keep them lubricated.
