I'm familiar with Anderson plugs for forklift battery packs. Once a day
they unplug them from the forklift and into the battery charger. They last
years with this type of use.

I am going to install a small off-grid PV system for powering a
rainwater collection/irrigation system in the middle of nowhere.
Continuous pumping or extended rainy days will demand a generator
recharge for the batteries regularly. I warned the owner he could count
on replacing them way too often if he abuses them like that but that's
not the point.
So I'm thinking an Anderson connector on a cord that is accessable to
his portable generator may get a lot of use. Are there any alternatives
that may be better and able to handle lots of use? The potential for
theft won't allow the genset to be hardwired.
