Lightning protection [RE-wrenches]

The soil was sandy, the site was remote from the stand
alone house, the house had a well, but the site 600
feet away did not.  Originally the lightening would
travel via the inverters to the house and well. 
frying the inverters.   

I drove two sets of 3/4" sectioned ground rods, I meet
the specification at about 40 feet but I drove to 80'
for safety.  I used two rods so I could get the ground
resistance measurements between the rods.
