Jerry,

You provide no indication of system voltage. A broken ASE-300 will work, and
you can play around with it if the voltage is low enough (no more than 48V
nominal). Higher voltage systems is totally playing with fire. The most
likely place for a fault is through the edge to the frame, no amount of
sealing will deal with this issue.

I don't have a problem with Doug's Real Goods recommendation to try to fix a
module for a low voltage system of 12 or 24 Volts (48V is getting to the
edge of safety). I do have a problem with making general recommendations
without knowing a lot more about the situation. The dude with the BB gun
just made a $1500 mistake. That's a lot of allowance money to pay back.

Wrenches,

I have a customer whose ASE double glass 300 w modules
mounted on Zomeworks trackers have been shot by a bb
gun.

The glass on two of the modules has cracked and the
customer wants to know if there is a way to re-seal
the modules to prevent moisture and corrosion from
entering the encapsulated area.

Does anyone on list know of a decent way to accomplish
this?  I know they'll never be the same, but any help
would be appreciated.
