Hi Kurt,
The overhang problem is easy to draw, more difficult to type out.
Use a 30 - 60 triangle on a side elevation or section including the window.
Project a line out from the top of the window upward at 30 degrees from 
the horizontal.
Project a line out from the bottom of the window upward at 60 degrees 
from the horizontal.
Put the bottom of the gutter or facia board at the point where the two 
lines cross.
This doesn't need to be very accurate, just plan to get it close.
