The solution I usually recommend for connecting the OutBack inverters to
standard AC load center enclosures is to still include the optional ACA
(AC conduit adapter box) which expands the size of the AC wiring
compartment and provides two new 3/4 inch knockouts which are closer to
the mounting surface (4.75 inches) and located on each side away from
the fins.
The additional space provided by the ACA provides enough room to bend
the wires without putting stress on the conduit fittings or the terminal
block.
Ideally the knockout on the ACA box would be 1 inch instead of 3/4 inch
as it needs to handle up to four #6 AWG wires to the inverter/charger.
3/4 inch will just do this - but it is tight. I would still use a short
flex conduit down to the standard enclosure with a right angle fitting
on the inverter end.
I hope this helps!
