What is the tool of choice among installers for making irreversible splices
in a grounding electrode conductor?  The available options include:
exothermic welding, hydraulic crimp methods and ratcheting crimpers.  Our
most common scenario is splicing #6 bare copper to an existing #2 (bare or
stranded) GEC.
