There is a small wind conference just before MREF On
the Tuesday and Wednesday (June 14 and 15).  The
conference is on small wind and it will be a small
conference. The conference is being held at the MREA
complex same as the Fair.  The conference is limited
to 40 people.  The conference will have presentations
from experts in the differing aspects of small wind
installations.  

Two hours of the conference will be devoted to 
"experienced based presentations".  These
presentations will be from papers prepared by wind
practitioners and submitted before the conference.  I,
Darryl Thayer, am responsible for being the front door
for these papers, and to help people to qualify and
prepare both their paper and presentation.  I am
working with another AWH member to help prepare the
paper and the Power Point presentation and place on a
CD ROM for presentation by the author at the
conference.  Each presentation shall be up to 10
minutes.  Suggested topics include, safety,
installation challenges, unique installations and
applications, lessons learned,  performance monitored
or modeled, mistakes and blessings. If you have a wind

The conference will be held at the ReNew the Earth
Institute (REI) in Custer, WI on June 14th and 15th
2005 from 9am ­ 6pm. The registration fee is $25 and
includes lunches both days. Rustic Camping is
available for $15/ night. Participants in the
conference are encouraged to stay for the Renewable
Energy and Sustainable Living Fair at the REI June
