I would love to start using Pex as electrical conduit... we use a lot (and
have a lot of scrap) from radiant jobs... Brad's comment about buried
communication cable just saved my buddy (freebie job) a bunch of $! On his
trimetric data wire run - we will pull regular 4 conductor wire through a
scrap of pex instead of spending $$$ on the direct burial phone wire...
One problem with PEX is that it is UV damage prone (pour that slab within 30
days or tarp it!). So now I have abunch of partial rolls that have seen WAY
too much sun for me to sell them to a customer... data runs here they come!
The question remains - can they UV-proof Pex for exterior applications?
