  Something that is also buried in the code, 336-30(b), states that the 
grounding conductor in 3 wire Romex when used in a 12/ 24 volt DC system 
"MUST NOT" be used as a negative or current-carrying conductor. Doesn't that 
make this entire conversation moot?
