Hi Todd
I have seen lead Calcium last 40 years, When they do
not get cycled very often. I have seen Lead Antimony
batteries fail in 2 to 3 years if they are not cycled.
Go figure. Why do we solar people always flock to
lead antinomy? I would say stick with the flooded
lead calcium cells. You can watch and maintain them,
you can test the state of charge with a hydrometer, if
you over charge you just loose water, which you can
add again. The sealed cells you do not know what is
going on.
