hi guys;
       a few years ago i got sucked into installing a freeze proof watering
system here in central Vermont. seems this gizmo was a prefab kit thing, it
used like a 20'' plastic culvert piece on end, open at the bottom, packed in pea
stone, like 4' down. that's where the remote -- self draining valve went. this
all got buried up to like 8" above ground. on this setup went a Styrofoam
filled heavy plastic box thing which made up the tub and the float mechanism. on
this went a plastic cover that head two big (12" dia.) ball that the critters
had to push down to get a drink. there's was a way to lock the balls open to
train critters where the water was. i assumed this contraption was widely
available we installed two of them. a one holer, and a two holer. i drive by
regularly, and see their still out there. haven't heard if their still functioning
last years we saw lots of cold too. any help? dan
