I doubt an L-16 in 48 volt configurations of 8 in series with large 
inverters can last more than 6 years before one shorts out and immediately 
ruins a string ASAP -I will never use L-16 on large 48 volt strings again

I typically see L-16's go 10 to 12 years if cared for properly.
