1. Watch the fan energy and the noise. No matter the brand, select for
operation on low speed. MUCH more efficient and quieter.
2. Trane Corporation and International Environmental Corp make larger
units. Look at the velocity of the air through the coil. (Cubic feet of
air per minute delivered divided by coil area in square feet). The lower
the velocity, the lower the water temperature can be and still provide
heating.
3. When you are moving air, warm can feel cold. Most folks say you
cannot heat with air below about 90 degrees, which means water at about
100 degrees. These are minimums. You may find you need it warmer. Some
say 110 degree air.
4. Continuous air circulation at a lower rate will typically result
in a more comfortable space than on/off circulation at higher rates. To
make this work best, especially with large water supply temperature
swings, you need a good control valve. Difficult to get on a residential
grade system. Pricey when you can get. Valve needs to truly modulate,
not just open / close.

Hope this helps.

Wrenches,

Anyone out there have any experience or recommendations on using fan
convectors or radiators with a solar tank? I have looked into Myson fan
convectors, but it looks like it would take a number of units to get the
btu/hr needed.

Any info will be helpful,

Jeremy
