CAD: Microstation 95 3D with solar shading module for anything mechanical
Visio 4.5 T for block diagrams and site maps
Design/bidding: Quattro Pro V10. I am pretty experienced so I have been
able to write macros and menus to expedite the process.
Inventory: Microsoft Access with a custom in-house written database. For
others I would recommend something like Peachtree.
Writing: WordPerfect V10. I have written templates for bidding and system
descriptions. It prompts me for specific data and generates an almost
complete document.
Forms: Omniform V5.0. In California we have to fill put a lot of forms
for incentives. I also use it for building permit applications. It is
especially helpful if the blank forms are available as PDFs, which is more
and more common.
