Sorry for the delay on replying to this - was busy last week testing
products in the Blackrock desert...

The 2-to-3 wire adapter we recommend here at OutBack is the GSCM from
Aktinson Electronics of Utah:

Its actually the spiritual decendant of the legendary "GenWizard"
previously offered by the former Ph*tr*n ... but the GSCM has
instructions that you can actually read... and, like the GenWizard, the
GSCM has enough terminals and adjustments to allow it to be capable of
starting 120% of the generators known to exist - I think it could even
be used to autostart any alien spaceships you might find as well...

I was told recently that Aktinson has an application note specifically
on using it with the OutBack FX inverters...

I have talked with several people who have these in use and they report
them working well once the wiring was figured out - best of luck...
