Who knows if it would help, but their are 3 wire to 2 wire start
conversion modules available for Onan generators. Years ago a customer
of mine got one through their Onan rep.

Kids:

I have, yet again, a client with an SW system that has random generator 
starting/stopping problems.  This is an SW system with version 4.10 
firmware.  The generator is possibly starting for no reason, and it is 
definitely failing to stop when it should.

I had this problem before with an earlier version of firmware.  I
brought 
this to the attention of Trace and after some testing, they confirmed
there 
was a problem and corrected it in the next Rev.

This generator is a mobile Onan, requiring both a start and stop 
closures.  This may have something to do with our starting problems (or 
more prevalent, stopping problems).

Any advice is appreciated.
