Allen,

WildBlue is a questionable proposition at best. I'm not really sure how
much of an improvement, if any, they will offer over Direcway. I've been
watching them for a couple of years now and they've almost gone under more
than once. They only just managed to get a single satellite launched and it
is really one they are leasing, rather than own.

I once thought I'd wait for them also but that was a couple of years ago and
I'm glad I decided to give up on waiting. It is not a company for whom I'd
want to be an early adopter. Direcway and even Starband are mature enough
and have been in business long enough to have worked out the bugs.

I'd recommend Direcway with the DW6000 modem.

Tom

Wrenches,
Thank you for the responses to my inquiry comparing Starband to Direcway. I
thought I'd try Direcway as a result of the general response, and called a
local satellite whiz. He encouraged me to wait until next year, as a new
service was in the wings that promised faster and cheaper internet. It is
called WildBlue (www.wildblue.com). The website looks good, but they always
do. Has anyone heard of this, and is waiting worth it in your opinion?
Thanks!
Allan at Positive Energy
