Wrenches:
Marco:
My best >> estimate << on availability for the 6k is a small number of
units around mid October 2004.
Normal production quantities scheduled for November and onward.
This is of course optimistic but IMHO not unreasonably so.
William:
Conduit holes are 3/4" with dc input on the left and ac output on the
right.
Location is on the bottom of the enclosure (horizontal this time!).
Spacing is about 7" out from the wall and 8" OC with about 3.5" on
either side to the left and right edges of the enclosure.
It is a really heavy beast so it ships with a mounting bracket you put
up on the wall first then hang the inverter on the bracket.
For single stud mounting the conduit layout should be 4" on either side
of the CL of the stud.
I would not suggest trying to put one up solo no matter how good your
chiropractor.
In Europe they are called "Mini-central" but we decided to stick with
Sunny Boy over here.
Best Regards,
John Berdner

Father William,
According to the SMA dudes, the 6000U will make it debut sometime
toward the
end of this year. (Right John B.?) There is a spec sheet on this
inverter
on the SMA website. Speaking of inverters, anyone know of a 10 kW
grid-tie
battery-less unit that puts out 240VAC? Xantrex makes their BWT10240
but
that sucker is for wind generators...

Kids:
I am interested in the SB6000U. Specifically, where do the AC and DC
conduits connect? Anyone seen one of these yet? Why are they called
Sunny
Boys?
William
