in California?

Bill B is right... West is "better"... He also qualified the statement with
a slope reference.

For those of us who are looking at all of this stuff, in GENERAL, it isn't
just about orientation, it's also about slope / tilt.  It's also about the
Peak vs. Off-Peak time periods of the various rate structures... Not every
rate structure is "12:00 - 6:00 PM" for peak...

The slope plays a huge part of it.  What is Rule of Thumb for Off-grid, is
not necessarily identical to On-Grid, much less when you consider the TOU
aspects.  There is not a "one size fits all" way to go...

It boils down to the combination of Orientation, Slope, and Rate Class.  All
three must be considered in any responsible evaluation.  They are not
inseparable.

Two cents that I hope those of us who look at this stuff understand.  That's
the "short story"...
