Hi all,

I just hooked up a two way internet satellite and I have found:

Idle of 20 watts (more or less)
Sending out about 65 watts
Also found that I could turn the modem fully off (power bar) whilst the
computer is running and then restart the modem later (no reboot of computer
required) the get back on-line. All-in-all a very small energy penalty for
a huge jump in band with. I'm finally off the information dirt road.

Regards to all,
