Thanks for the feedback. I asked an Los Angeles PV contractor and he said we
would never see $1.50/W STC retail PV modules.

as promised. Economies of scale were supposed to kick in at 10 or 20
MW/year production. With the PV industry is approaching 1,000MW/year and

sell PV modules at $1.50/W STC and install PV systems at $3/W STC without

Being only a Wrench and not an economist, I would only venture: when global
demand drops in relation to production. Barring some apocalypse, I don't see
that happening in the forseeable future.
