We've used a couple solar car kits for our Earth Day Education Day.  
One is available from Radio Shack.  Although they teach solar concepts 
well, they usually just run in a straight line and are kind of "ho hum" 
to play with.  For a more exciting solar model car, get a kit to 
convert the small remote controlled "zip" cars to solar.  These cars 
are about 2" long, but have full forward/reverse/right/left wireless 
remote control.  The battery powered versions are also sold at Radio 
Shack.  The solar powered kits are available from:
	New Mexico Solar Energy Association (NMSEA), 888-886-6765,

There's a product review on p. 40/41 of the May/June 2004 issue of 
Solar Today.  We've had one for two years and it's still running fine.  
Fun cars that grab kids attention and they run all day long in the sun.
