I do that all of the time with the sub-panel.  I think my biggest to date is
29 Sunny Boys into a sub-panel.  I also usually mate the Sunny Boy with an
Outback PSSB.  In the PSSB, I provide both my AC and DC discos.  This gives
me the flexibility to isolate an individual Sunny Boy to work on it without
having to go to the sub-panel.  Just make sure that all wire insulation is
rated for the same voltage.
