remote turn on for whatever [RE-wrenches]

Wrenchs,
 I came across this device in an aviation publication. Its intended use is
to turn on an aircraft engine preheater using a telephone, in locations
where there are no landlines. It'll switch up to 1800 watts, and can be
programed to turn the load off at preset intervals. It uses a pager or
cellphone to activate. I thought others may find it of interest for who
knows what use.
