drawing program [RE-wrenches]

Hi David, Whatever you get make sure that it can easily import and export .DWG and/or .DXF files. This will allow exchange with most drawing programs, especially AutoCad as most of the world uses AutoCad in particular architects. If you need to export a file to someone to incorporate into thier drawings it will most likely be an architect.

A friend talked me into MiniCad7 several years ago, it is supposed to export dwg/dxf files but it has a bug that makes it difficult if not impossible. MiniCad has the advantage of being inexpensive and more than most us of will ever need and perhaps best of all is the excellent tutorial that is menu/index based. Simply click on a tool or need and it opens a audible narration talking you through the actions on screen. It is by far the best tutorial I've ever seen with any program. W/o good training or a tutorial you will always do everything the hard way and be slow to learn the shortcuts and time savers (like how to click and drag an entire array to any shape and size you want rather than drawing a laborous grid). I would hope that MiniCad has fixed this most unfortunate bug.
