Kurt,

I also have el-sid pumps in an off grid hydronic heating system and recently
discovered the annoying RF noise in FM reception. All of our stations are
on the fringe and perhaps weak signal is a factor. I will try a rooftop
antennae. Unfortunately I have no filtering solution.

Initially I was excited about el-sids run off the battery to eliminate
inverter loss and allow the heating system to function with the inverter off
or in search during NW Montana winter nights. But, in general I am not
pleased with the el-sids for hydronic heating. They are expensive, noisey
(sounds like airplanes flying over in the basement; far from virtually
silent!), and mess up FM reception. I, as Brad, will look for an
alternative in the future.
