You probably shouldn't try to convince someone from Missouri. (stubborn as a
Missouri mule)....

I'm not saying that a tracked array won't produce more energy than a fixed
array.  I know it will (until it breaks).  Again, I think trackers are
really cool. We even plan to install one of the Wattsun dual axis monsters
(somebody stop me, please) at the new shop we are building right now since
it will have sunlight from sunrise to sunset whereas our current shop has a
very limited solar window.  But that is for me and I'm a gear head.  I don't
mind the moving parts.  The sun moves, shouldn't my array?  And I'm
aggressively looking for a 20kW Jake to rebuild and install at my shop as
well.  Does anyone have a line on one?  Talk about some maintenance!  But
that's my own time on my own schedule.

I'm saying that a tracker will cost me more to support than a fixed array
and when it's all said in done the customer would have been better off with
more modules.  Are you factoring the cost of the out of warranty support
into the economics of the fixed vs. tracking?  How much do you charge to
replace a failed controller at a customer that is a two hour drive away?
And I will not install products for customer knowing that they will break
within 2 years and within every 2 years thereafter until the end of time.

You're not going to convince me that trackers are better for my customers.
I've been putting at least 1200-1400 watts of fixed PV on the SQ Flex's (900
watt max draw) we've installed and they are running great meeting the needs
as promised with no call backs.  That's what I need.
