Drive Sirens!!

I seem to recall a line from Kurt Vonnegut, maybe Slaughterhouse Five
about the air raid siren removed from Berlin, and relocated in the
midwest being driven by a Messerschmitt V12. My guess is the 94A is
real, A big sound requires lots of energy, the "referigerator" Altec S1A
dual drive bass horns we made for a sound company can accept 2kW each,
we put two on each side of an outdoor stage at 8kW total 120V that's
66A. They sounded pretty good at 1/4 mile 90 degrees, the siren has to
project farther than that at 360 degrees.
