Hey Ray,

A couple thoughts. I also do use the DRs in about half the systems I am
installing, but then I'm doing a lot of cabin systems as well as a lot of
systems where the folks really don't have a lot of cash and the DR can
usually do what needs to be done (perhaps less problematic and bullet proof,
at least when compared to the SW).

A couple thoughts. First the usual deliberate phantom load when running a
washer (or something) that may enter a timer pause that falls below the
search setting. A night light plugged into a switched outlet next to the
stove or washer, sometimes with a crank timer. Also, with some smaller
items like cordless tool chargers, I mentioned in a previous post that I
ocasionally power them from a relay pulled in by something like the
thermostat on the home's refrigerator. Tie the 120vac relay coil to the
compressor connection in the box attached to the compressor and everytime
the frig powers up the inverter, the circuit powering the chargers power
strip power up as well. This power strip can be remote -- you don't need
to store your electric shaver in the butter dish.

That said, I also have a client who loves the fact that his 4024 drops the
electric shaver charger, as it stays fully charged when the inverter is
otherwise powered up and yet is not a phantom load on its own.
