Wrenches:

As a contrary data point to the Sales guy at Siemens....
The PG&E guy who is reponsible for inspecting all the PV in our area
says he has to test 20 to 30 meters (GE meters) to find 1 that meets the
accuracy in both directions.
It seems thay are allways in spec in the normal direction but rarely on
spec going the other way.

As a part of the litigation the California PUC did on my behalf
against
PacifiCorp I researched my home's analog bidirectional meter. I wrote
the
manufacturer and they said it reads with the same accuracy, forwards
and
backwards. See below.

Hello,

Attached is the most recent test data for the class meter you
reference. As

you can see, the difference between forward and reverse registration
is
statistically insignificant. The meter is designed to accurately
measure
energy in either direction.

Subject: specification sheet needed

Hello,

I have a Landis & Gyr analog kWh meter on my house and I would like to
receive the specification sheet for it. I am specifically needing
information on this meters accuracy when running "backwards" in a net
metering application. My utility is claiming they question it accuracy
when operating in this mode and I would like to see the specifications
to substantiate that ascertain.

My meter has these numbers on it:

Rr 13 8/9
Landis & Gy
Lafayette Indiana
244
240 3W Type MS II Kh 7.2
200 CL Form 2S TA30
Single Stator Watthour Meter

Thanks in advance for your help with this request.

Sincerely,

Todd Cory
