Folks,
I forwarded on the comments on the L-16 series of batteries to a contact
at Trojan and got this reply I will send on to the list FYI. I have not
had the anecdotal short life experiences others have mentioned with the
higher capacity Trojan L-16 series of flooded batteries. If anyone wants
the xls file he sent, contact me off list for it.

Hi Todd,
Please refer to the attached life cycle vs depth of discharge curve of
the L16 series. All three types (G,P,H) have about the same number of
life cycles so there is only one curve for the series. As for the
opinion that the L16P has more life than the L16H, I don't know what
more to tell you. There is no trade off between life and capacity when
going from the L16P to the L16H simply because the L16H is not an
acid-starved version of the L16P (as I explained earlier).
