I would like to comment on the Coleman PowerStation standby units.  I have three out in the field now and am happy with the performance so far. These units seem to be a nice fit in my clients "budget for off griders". The unit carries a 3-year 1500hr warranty and they don't care if it is hooked up to an inverter.
At less than 69d @23' under full, it is quieter than most. 
They come with battery and do have an on board ac charger.  We have run ac back out for the charger or uses a small module to maintain battery. Two wire start, 11kw rating. The best thing, I think, is the Honda engine.
