  NABCEP Certified Wrenches,  when listing homes/buildings for the 
"National Solar Home Tour" make sure that the chapter listing your sites, 
includes that you are a NABCEP certified installer!
I spoke w/ Pete Sheehan @ NABCEP and,  NABCEP as a sponsor of this event, 
he feels that it is imperative that we ( certified installers) take to 
promoting  the NABCEP program & our installs through this venue.

On another note, if you are a NABCEP certified installer, please join me, 
Tump at Solarwinds Northernlights and, I hope, Allen at Positive Energy, in 
attending the annual  NABCEP board meeting in San Francisco the 18 th of 
October. The board meeting is closed in the morning, but there is an open 
comment period late in the afternoon.I feel that this is really the only 
opportunity, we as certified installers, have to voice our disappointments 
or our support of the direction NABCEP is going.I personally am attending 
this conference with this as a priority. I am NOT satisfied with things at 
NABCEP and feel that the only way I can influence the board is through my 
personal attendance, not voicing my complaints to or through Pete Sheehan.I 
urge all that can attend  do so!!!
We ALL have spent A LOT of time to train ourselves, have struggled to bring 
the solar industry up to its present professional level, paid to sit for 
the exam, and now that there is NABCEP, lets NOT let NABCEP become an 
organization that doesn't represent US the INSTALLERS!
If you are NOT able to attend the board meeting, PLEASE send me (off list) 
your gripes or positive comments. I will try to compile all the input and 
voice your concerns during the open session. I too am an installer, not a 
public speaker & yes way to busy for this stuff too, so go easy on me.

Do you feel that NABCEP is doing all it can for the industry?

Would you want more local support with legislation / lobbing?

Are we being promoted well enough.

Should we become involved in combating or suggesting code issues?

Developing training seminars for AHJs???



These are  a few examples of issues I will be discussing, without US, the 
certified installers, there wouldn't be NABCEP! Lets go guys and gals 
NABCEP is still young, and we can form the direction WE need it to go, with 
all of your SUPPORT!
