playing with MC connectors and USE-2... [RE-wrenches]

Wow -

after reading all the excitement brought up by emt and pvc, it got me
wondering how folks deal with the MC connectors and use-2 single conductor
wire that seems to be the coming standard in panels...

It's a no-brainer on a rooftop, but what about trackers, poletops and ground
mounted arrays? Are folks still using j-box panels and LT flex? Are you
all (and inspectors/plan reviewers) taking different approaches with high
voltage grid tied VS 24 VDC? How about 48 VDC or higher with step down
charge controllers?

Perhaps there is a simple NEC reference on this stuff... perhaps I should be
including chain link fences on anything close enough to the ground to get
to... I have not been called on anything yet (ie: simple 5' pole top
residential with 48VDC array transitioning from USE-2 at the PSPV) but then
again most of the occasional inspectors I deal with keep asking me about
this new-fangled idea called foto-votaiks and where the hot water comes out
of these here panels.

Also - does anyone know of an outdoor rated strain relief for multiple
conductors (more than 2)? I do these nice drip loops with my wire then run
out of room in the bottom of the PSPV for a ton of individual or double
strain reliefs. I'd like to use a nice big romex or USE connector....

Sincerely,

Geoff Greenfield
