I had one whole batch of s460 (L-16) Rolls come in charged in reverse. (The red painted post was negative.) I installed them anyway and they went bad in about 3 months. It took some smooth talking but I received full credit for them and did not have to return any. At that time I was buying them through RAE Battery.
Another time I had shipping damage that was settled by the carrier. They tried every trick in the book to avoid paying but I had taken lots of digital pictures of the damage which I e-mailed to them.

Hello Matt and Wrenches
I have never had a warranty claim for Surrettes, so this question is
moot for me. I did have one load of batteries damaged in shipment. I
caught this on the loading dock and refused the load. Surrette send
another load at their expense.
