Hi Todd,

It is my understand, from Ed Mahoney of Concorde Battery, that deep cycle
batteries which are continuously floated with little or no cycling, will
only provide about 70% of the expected service life for the battery. If I
remember correctly, he said this was information was from long history and
experience. Apparently some cycling is necessary to get the full life
potential out of the battery.

On a separate, but related issue, I have been operating a bank of AGM
batteries on a grid-tied system since 1999.  The batteries (PVX-12255's) and
system (SW4048) are still working fine.
