Marco, Pat, Wrenches, William/Bill K:

First of all, sincere condolences to Bill and all persons directly
affected here.... Perhaps unjustly.... As today's story in the LA Times
seems to indicate may be the case. Link below.

Marco, thanks for pointing out the "solar" connection... I previously
had only heard Environmental Activist.... Errrr.... Terrorist... In the
mainstream media.

The article found at the link above does not indicate that the person
arrested was an installer, though. The article indicates that he is/was
a warehouse worker at a solar panel business. (Nebulous
description...Doncha think?) It also points out that he and fellow
residents maintain his innocence and non-participation in the incident.
An important fact to keep in mind since, like Pat says, "Guilty 'till
proven innocent or wha(t)?"

Also of interest in the article is the of items listed as "targets" in
the search warrant.... Beer Bottles? Sure makes me feel better knowing
that I drink mine from cans! (Easier to recycle and not as tall... That
way I don't knock them over when my arms are flailing about in
disgust...LOL)

The list did not include anything related to Solar, thank God for that!
In evaluating the current administration's determination to "get that
oil at all costs", I personally come to the conclusion that that
scenario may not be to far off. Keep your eyes open! It doesn't appear
to me that they are really all that interested in just the "normal"
sources of "terrorism".

It's ironic to note that the Times chose to reference that the "items
taken from the residence" were taken by SUV's.... Big Suburbans, I'm
sure. Not quite Hummers, but you get my point.

Of interest too, are the items the LA Times listed as left behind.....
Maybe the FBI aren't all bad people, after all! And, why does it take
50 people to perform a search anyway? And we wonder why the government
is in financial trouble...

Come to think of it, if the CEC & CPUC dedicated 50 people to each of
our applications.... Awwww, never mind.

I would have to say that my own "investigative instincts" would have led
me to investigate Arianna Huffington's campaign supporters instead.

If that isn't incriminating, I don't know what is....

Pat, I'd fire that guy!

So, what does all this have to do with Wrenches? I think it would be a
stretch to think even the most "Anti" part of the population will use
the solar reference to draw support for their position. I've seen many
SUV's parked at Customers' houses over the years.

As insurance against "reprisal paintings" of your systems I would
include a can of Goof Off as a "maintenance" item with each one in the
future though.

Also, according to the LA Times, this guy works and lives with W.
Korthoff, a
member of this list.

At this point, I personally wouldn't give much credence to the FBI
investigation. The person(s) responsible for arson were videotaped in
action, and the
ID was probably made solely on that basis and, of course, Mr. Connole's
incriminating involvement in the renewable energy sector.

Guilty 'till proven innocent or wha? I hope the FBI can resolve the
evidence
soon.

PS. I have a guy working for me that kinda looks like Mr. Connole.
Maybe
I'm next!
