Wye-Wye to 100kW Xantrex blows utility meter fuse [RE-wrenches]

Hi Mark,

I hope you meant to say 2/0 wire. If not, there's your trouble!

My experience with a PV-100 says that going to the larger fuse, if the wire
will support it, should help.
A description that I got once about this inverter suggested that it doesn't
always run perfectly balanced on all the phases.

Good luck. Congrats on your new position!

Subject: Wye-Wye to 100kW Xantrex blows utility meter fuse [RE-wrenches]

Just finished installing a 124kw system in El Cajon. (very sweet.. see
photos at www.Nextekpower.com) 4kW is connected to the Nextek DC lighting
system... that part works great. 120k is connected to a 100k PV-100208
Xantrex. We're blowing the AC fuse on the C leg at the utility meter and we
think it may have to do with the isolation transformer.
If you've had any experience with this, please let me know.

Here are the Details:
SDGE comes in with 480/277 3 phase Wye transformer.
Ideally, It would make sense to use a Wye Delta Isolation transformer to the
Xantrex but, because of costs (and with the blessings of Xantrex) we used a
Wye-Wye with and X0 not connected (floating).
At the Utility meter, and all-in-1 test section with pullout fuses, the
three phases are protected with JLLS 150 AMp Fuses. The C Phase keeps
blowing and the #2 wires are hot.
No Unusual THD reading although there is 6A on the neutral, which Xantrex
says is normal (??) in a system this size.
Xantrex says we should remove the connection to H0 at the transformer and
replace the fuse with a 175 AMP... suitable for the wire but not ideal
according to the 125% rule.

Thoughts?
