NEC question [RE-wrenches]

I know this may not be popular with those of you trying to market in
the urban area or change the world, but here is what we we have found
(the hard way):
1. Since its almost impossible to get approval to even install a flag
pole in a sub-division or development today, why waste your time and
energy fighting with local boards to install what they are convinced
is a 30 foot billboard?. Ask the potential client upfront to check
first and if there are any restrictions, tell them sorry and move on.
2. Pole mounted solar arrays are intended for farms, industrial areas,
along highways, rural mountain isolated homes, and islands. If you
are trying to install one on a 100 foot wide lot in an existing
community, you are kidding yourself if you think every neighbor for
three blocks will embrace your your efforts to "save the earth".
3. Some of you are in areas with a local building inspector or local
utility company that see you as either crazy or a threat to their way
of life. Don't waste your time marketing in these areas, and if
enough upset clients who could not get a solar system want to ban
together to change the politics or climate, let them. You can always
come back then.
4. There are many, many, applications, locations, and opportunities
for solar installations and they are growing. Work the markets that
really want solar and don't require a fight on every job and you live
longer.
Just my 2 cents...
