Sq. D. parts book says the terminal for this circuit breaker is OK for

Jeff / Wrenches:

Inspector is wrong. (Not the first time for me). Problem becomes ego,
no matter how you slice it. Preferred slicing tool - Sharp Chef's
knife....But that's beside the point!) LOL !!!!!!

I recently received a call from the field from a Brother regarding an
inspection "write-up" on using stranded wire inside a Buchanan Crimp
sleeve.... Although I was in the middle of other things, I took the time
to go ballistic (lol) then asked him if the "Inspector" happened to be
there.... Miracle of miracles he was.

I asked to speak with him and was granted the opportunity. I went to my
garage as we spoke and read directly from a package of the identical
part that stated UL Listed for "......solid & stranded....". I then
scanned the side of the package into my machine and e-mailed it to the
Brother and the Inspector. Just for future reference, of course. The
installation passed.

The point really is that nobody's perfect (myself as a prime example)
and some of the long-held "beliefs" we as individuals are under based
upon our own experience may not be the whole truth.

I recently had one of those "re-alignment" experiences myself (Don't
rightly remember the circumstance right now, but I shared it with you
all at the time).

>From Jeff Y's description, he has done his research and has the
supporting documentation to prove it. I must ask: Jeff, have you
presented it to the Inspector? If so, what was the reaction? What was
his/her reaction and attitude toward the situation? My experience shows
that "you get more flies with honey than vinegar".... No matter how bad
it tastes and smells to deliver the honey....

Based on your description, Jeff, you are right. The only questions I
have relating to this is: "Is the lighting circuit readily
'expandable'?", and "Why weren't there two circuit breakers provided in
the first place?"

Two cents and a hammock,
