He may either be able to assist you or may know another company. There are
quite a few freight forwarders, an from our experience, most of them don't
know what they are doing with small shipments of individual items. (A whole
truckload of one thing is easier.)
Also, you'll need to supply some info. Specifically NAFTA forms and serial
numbers for all equipment, and a "commercial invoice". Your distributor can
probably assist in guiding you through this stuff.
And leave PLENTY of time for stuff to get there. A customs hold of several
weeks does happen for no reason (gee, in the US now too). Best to continue
to check on shipments, as if no one calls, stuff can languish forever.

Subject: Shipping RE equipment to Mexico [RE-wrenches]
Hello-
Does anyone have experience with shipping equipment to Mexico? I am
looking to send (3) 165W panels, 2 60Ah batteries and some small
components for a small wastewater aeration system south of Cancun. I
have been having a heck of a time finding a currier and figuring out how
much duties/taxes I need to pay. Any suggestions are appreciated. Does
anyone know of dealers in eastern Mexico I could buy from direct or a
cheap way to ship?
ciao,
aj
