I would expect so but it may pay to check with the Outback guys.  To me the
24V battery would be like an unlimited current source so the MX60 would have
trouble finding MPP and probably well exceed 60A trying to do so - hence the
smoke escapes.  The only way to do this would be to get a current source
that is limited to the maximum charge current you want into your AGM's and
within the limits of the MX60.
