Hi Daryl,
You cannot parallel two C40's on the array side. Once one of the units
starts to regulate, the other will see the total array current and become
overloaded or over-temped. Once it shuts down, the same thing would happen
to the first unit. You must separate the arrays.

Can I connect two c-40 charge controllers to one PV
array? Such that each charges a battery string
seperatly?
The reason for the question is to seperate two battery
strings to prevent thermal runaway.
