Jeff
Before you drill the jets out contact the manufacture.
Drillig the Jets out will change the design of burner and could produce
Carbon Monoxide due to incomplete combustion.
A change in design must pass specific tests by the American Gas Association
or Canadian Gas Association.
There are many factors that are considered in designing a burner and
extensive tests must be performed at a testing facility.
The manufactor will advise you as to what options you have.
If the burner appears ok due to a modification this is not enough due
various factors much too technical to go into here.
Carbon Monoxide is very dangerous and can poison someone over time at low
amounts or kill someone without them knowing it.

I have a Peerless Premier Pro SS model and like it a lot with one big
exception - the burners are only 8000 btu max. and low is not quite low
enough but usable. High is pretty wimpy and most decent stoves out there are
12,000 - 14,000 btu. I'm about to drill out the jets but would like feedback
from anyone who has done this and can recommend a drill size?

Thanks,
