steaming batteries [RE-wrenches]

Hi Kirk, Couple of things come to mind....
reverse connections
battery 6v formed in reverse ( factory fault )
string in question taking all the charge
bad batch of cells all in that string

Check out the warranty if they are only 6 mths old.
